The path is paved for you to explore the paintings of Sri Lankas ancient artists and architects, and 6th century engineers of water flow systems. Believe it or not and rate what Sigiriya would make you feel.

Day 2 - Sigiriya – Kandy

Kandy Dalada Maligaawa & Cultural Dance

The temple of the tooth relic is The treasure of Sri Lankas 2500 year dated history and its traditions, customs and culture. The temple itself possesses an architecture, plus the Lord Buddhas left tooth relic which is worshipped according to a preserved set of customs, quite enchanting. And also the traditional dancing methods of four corners of the country is also presented while at the Paegent held every year as the Esela Perahera.

Day 3 - kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya

Sri Lanka is different from mile to mile and Nuwara Eliya could be the perfect example to show out what cold and mistiness is like inside the country. The beautiful flowers, strawberries and hiking and trekking sites around the location Nuwara Eliya offers a plenty of sites you could watch which may drag you to a deeper history.

Day 4 – Nuwara Eliya - Ella

Ella

Welcome to everyone’s favourite hill-country village and the place to ease off the travel accelerator with a few leisurely days resting in your choice of some of the country’s best guesthouses. The views through Ella Gap are stunning, and on a clear night you can even spy the subtle glow of the Great Basses lighthouse on Sri Lanka’s south coast. Don’t be too laid-back though; definitely make time for easygoing walks through tea plantations to temples, waterfalls and viewpoints. After building up a hiking-inspired appetite, look forward to Sri Lanka’s best home-cooked food and the minisplurge of an extended Ayurvedic treatment.

In recent years the popularity of Ella has soared and seemingly every month yet another new guesthouse or hotel opens. Sadly, some of these newer hotels have been built in a hurry by people with little knowledge of the desires and requirements of the average foreign tourist in Ella, resulting in some large, multistorey, cheaply made blots of ugliness scarring the hills of the village. Fortunately, the rumour of a cable-car running between Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock does (we dearly hope) appear to be just a rumour.

Day 5 – Ella - Tissamaharamaya

In Tissamaharama (usually shortened to Tissa), eyes are automatically drawn upwards and outwards. Upwards to the tip of its huge, snowy-white dagoba and outwards, beyond the town’s confines, to a wilderness crawling with creatures large and small, Yala National Park. With its pretty lakeside location, Tissa is a mellow and ideal base for the nearby Yala and Bundala National Parks

Day 6 – Yala - Negombo - Airport

Yala National Park

The most visited and the second largest wildlife observation park of the country. The reason why this is a must visit of any tourist is because of the large herds of elephants and leopards ruling the entire jungle zone with a much higher density than anywhere else in Sri Lanka. Other than for the wild boars, butterfly species, reptiles and deer there are several other sites which one can visit such as the Sithulpauwwa Ancient Rock Temple which accommodated 12,000 monks. And the bridal stage of the Queen who devoted her life to the sea – Queen Vihara Maha Devi is also within the park premises. Out of all the 90 bird species within Yala Park range around 40 of them are migrant while the others are endemic and could be captured only on a serious travel-o-holic visit!
